Serbia's ban on Kosovars criticised Kosovo institutions' approach

Kosovo institutions have been criticised for failing to respond properly and avoid responsibility in cases of the arrest of Kosovo citizens from Serbia. Former MPJD officials say Albin Kurti has irritated reports, making the functioning of the Kosovo Interconnection Office in Belgrade impossible. After any arrest of Kosovo citizens, by authority [...]
Following any arrest of Kosovo citizens, by Serbian authorities, the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kosovo remains the same.
Avoiding crossing through Serbia.
Among other things, MPJD in the reaction last night has said that following receiving information about Haziri Haziri's arrest, the European Union of Diplomatic Representatives of the QUINT countries has been announced, even this common sentence after such cases.
The Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo has addressed an official request to the authorities of the Government of Serbia to confirm Mr. Haziri and to clarify the legal reasons for his ban. In terms of the case, the European Union Delegation in Serbia has also been announced, as well as diplomatic representatives of the Quint countries. If I share Mr. Haziri's detention measure is imposed and criminal procedure initiated, the Interconnecting Office of the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia will apply for official visits to the detention centre. At this stage, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora calls on all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to avoid travel through Serbia's territory, in order to ensure their security and prosperity. The MPJD also highlights the urgent need for response on the part of the International Community to the expectations practices of Serbian authorities, which conflict with fundamental principles of international law and international conventions on human rights. Increasing cases of bans and abuses of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo by Serbian authorities constitutes violations of the spirit of dialogue and of agreements signed between the two sides. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora vows that they will continue to commit themselves to protecting the rights and interests of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, wherever” is located.
But these MPJD statements, according to former employees of this ministry, are just empty words and responsibilities elsewhere.
Former Foreign Minister General Director Albert Prenkaj has said government approach Kurti has brought the frustration of reports to the liaison office operating in Belgrade.
My statement today is much harder with communiqué since Kurti government has greatly exacerbated the government of Kosovo citizens in Serbia, given that President Vuciq's disincentive is also on the rise...”, he noted.
He has shown how they had acted in the past when such cases had occurred.
“There is no possibility to offer citizens any assistance, in the past it has been a different situation that has continued dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, there is a genome agreement in which our representation in Belgrade or the Kosovo office in Belgrade has offered an assistance to detained citizens has offered some kind of assistance to the lawyers they represented.”, he stated.
And in the KLA OVL, they say Kosovo institutions should have more serious access, adding that citizens should be more cautious, avoiding any kind of transition to Serbia.
It is known because the Serbian state is hostile to members of the KLA and it is not good for people to travel through Serbia, there are other options and it is good to always avoid this journey, for us to make the trip to The Hague with our fellow buses we have organised through Albania, from Durres to Italy with license and then across all countries in Europe, avoiding Serbia<1>, declared Fatmir Sopi- KLA OVL.
77-year-old Haziri Haziri was arrested in Merdara, according to Serbian authorities, under suspicion of war crimes.
