Seventy-seven-year-old with the initials of H.H. is the next arrested by Serbian authorities at the Kosovo border checkpoint in Merdare.
The indictment remains the same as in past arrests related to alleged “war crimes”, while Serbian media report that the detainee is Albanian.
The “allegedly in June 1999, in Podujevo, co-ordination with several KLA members, with firearms, has deprived a civilian of Serbian nationalism of life. The suspects have been assigned the detention measure of up to 48 hours, after which, along with criminal charges, will be sent to the Public Prosecutor for War Crimes”.
Duagjini has asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora for this claim by Serbian authorities, but has yet to accept answers.
The case comes nearly three weeks after at the border point with Hungary in Horgos, Serbian authorities arrested two brothers from Kosovo, the Union and Xhemajl Emini, with similar claims of committing war crimes in co-operation with KLA members.
On July 22nd, Serbia arrested Lulzim Halili, in allegations that he was a member of the KLA, but the KLA veterans' organisation has rejected that claim.
And early last month Behar Preniqi was detained, until the charges against him were made public.
As of early June, former Kosovo police officer Arbnor Spahiu is being held in detention in Serbia.
He has been arrested on the claim that you had participated in the Kosovo Police action in countering the terrorist attack on Banjska, where Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bulnjak and three Serb terrorists were killed.
But Kosovo institutions have confirmed that Spahiu had left police a year before the attack on Banjska took place.
Kosovo and Serbia have reached an agreement in 2013 on assisting the UN with the European Union's mediation, but their co-operation with war crimes cases has not been at all.
However, the failure to implement the agreement, lawyer Valdet Hoxha blames Serbia, but part of the blame it also leaves the EU's approach.
The European Union's “This policy, despite the good intention of removing Serbia from the grip of the Russian Federation, has resulted in unsuccessful, therefore it will have to be revised because an international judicial co-operation between all Balkan states, even with other international partners, is not only in the function of the stability of Kosovo or Serbia, but is investment in creating a security in the Balkan region”, Hoxha said.. /Periscopi/
