The school began operations on September 21st, attended by parents, students and representatives of the Albanian community.
The first students received lessons on the Albanian alphabet, the national flag and the history of the first Albanian school in Korca, while the books they will currently learn are what the Diaspora Publications Centre has published.
Despite that, other textbooks are expected to arrive from the Albanian Embassy in London.
This school is considered an important step in preserving and promoting Albanian language, culture and tradition among new generations in the diaspora. /a2cn
