After the U.S. sanctions, KFOR makes agreement with EU Office in case of evacuation in critical situations

The report also adds that through this Memorandum of Understanding, procedures that strengthen mutual trust formalize roles and increase coordination.
Thus, it is added in the announcement that the two missions are enabled to respond effectively and co-ordinatedly within their respective mandates.
The memorandum testifies to the commitment of military and civil actors to work together actively, thus strengthening readiness, stability and security under challenging circumstances on the ground, the announcement said.

Today, the commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Bardonini, and the chief of the EU Office in Kosovo (EUOK) and EU Special Representative S.T. Aivo Orav, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MM) regulating KFOR's support and assistance in the event of shift or evacuation during critical situations.
Through this Memorandum of Understanding, KFOR and EUOK formalise procedures that strengthen mutual confidence, clarify roles and increase co-ordination, enabling both missions to respond effectively and co-ordination within their respective mandates.
The memorandum testifies to the commitment of military and civilian actors to work together actively, thus strengthening readiness, stability and security under challenging circumstances on the ground.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Law Rule Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
