The chairman of the Kosovo Alliance of Business (AKB), Agim Sahin, in a proposal for the Blic newspaper, has reacted to recent developments in Kosovo's reports with international partners, saying that European Union sanctions and the suspension of strategic dialogue with the US are putting the state in the most serious position since the post-war. According to [...]
According to him, exclusion from the strategic partnership initiative is one of the most serious measures the United States of America has ever taken towards Kosovo.
This is one of the most serious actions America has done to Kosovo”, Sahin said.
Sahin warned that placing Kosovo in a group of states such as Russia, China and Georgia, which are excluded from strategic dialogue, has major implications for the country's international image.
Speaking of recent developments, he added that the suspension of dialogue with the US puts Kosovo in a comparable position with countries considered aggressors to dekomcratia.
Kosovo is perceived as Russia after aggression in Ukraine”, adding that the country risks being seen as a threat to Western democracy and that of the United States.
Among other things, he added, this situation risks greatly the decline of foreign investments and the serious damage to Kosovo's political, economic and diplomatic image.
The UN leader also criticised domestic governance and the institutional stalemate that, according to him, has affected deepening the crisis.
The “is meaningless that institutions are out of office now one year and are engaged in the campaign,” he said, adding that “does not see the end of institution building. ”
He says the US message is clear, where, according to him, the same require a change of approach, especially by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“The US takes similar action against the head of a state in this case, Albin Kurti, which is why they want to send messages to voters to change their minds, access themselves to the leader to change the approach of voters, local and international partners”.
He ended up warning that, if this situation continues, the decline of foreign investments and damage to international trust will be inevitable consequences
