His testimony, Ruby, is expected to continue tomorrow by 0900, as Judge Charles Smith said at the end of today's session.
The experienced American diplomat testified in defense of Hashim Thaci and other former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, who are being held in custody in The Hague by November 2020, on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, allegedly committed during the war period in Kosovo.
During his testimony today, Rubin said Thaci's role was political and that he had no executive competence for military decisions within the KLA.
Thaci, according to Rubin, had to get the approval of the commanders of the area for any major decision.
The charges linking Thaci with war crimes and similar ones, Rubin said they had been investigated and that from US state intelligence, they had confirmed that they were not true, but came from Serbian sources.
