Last night, in Klan Kosova, Rohde said that when actions are disturbing, sanctions are imposed.
“states that disturbing actions impose sanctions on Kosovo, due to obligations. Because if not, tribulations occur in reports, and that means the situation is not right. But that doesn't mean Germany is not a close partner with Kosovo, because we are and we will be”, he said.
Asked if “fer” Kosovo over EU measures against it, Rohde says sanctions have been targeted at the wrong people.
Although, according to him, the same are not being removed because some countries in the European Union are still skeptical.
“E know, you can read it in any statement, that we appeal for the prosecution of Milan Radojici, but this has not happened, and that is probably among the reasons why the EU-Serbia talks do not advance. We want rule of the law to be implemented”, the outgoing ambassador said.
“Massat, I mean that Germany, our position is and it remains that the measures have to be removed because they've targeted the wrong people. [Why aren't they taking off?] Because there are some countries in the EU that are skeptical, they have had to be removed last year, and there have still been some measures against institutions”, Rohde said further.
