In a farewell ceremony, attended by President Vjosa Osmani as a special guest, Rohde has promised that despite completing the mission, she will keep Kosovo close to her heart and that she will continue to maintain ties with it.
Rohde has remembered his past time in Kosovo, where he spoke of extraordinary hospitality, the satisfaction he has felt by exploring the nature of mountain walks and society in the field of football by isolating Kosovo's recent victory over Sweden, with some German-born players proudly representing their roots.
“He welcomed visa liberalisation in 2024 as a hopeful step towards approaching Europe and praised the strong ties between Kosovo and Germany, especially through Kosovo's inspired diaspora, politicians and artists”, the German Embassy announced.
Osman, meanwhile, has stressed the strong ties that have been developed and the close relationship Germany and Kosovo have developed over the years.
