A section of the back (bind) of a Russian Gerbera-type fears was found near the beach in the village of Varve, in the western district of Ventspils in Latvia.
The country's defence minister, Andris Spruds, confirmed that the fragment contained no explosives.
Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina said she has instructed defence and home affairs ministers to contact Polish counterparts to determine whether this fears are one of those seen over Poland last week.
In Poland, authorities have reported that fragments of a missile were found in the village of Choiny, about 70km from the Ukrainian border, allegedly used for the collapse of any of the Russian drones.
There have been no injuries or major material damage as forensic investigations continue.
