Capital Chairman Progress Rama has submitted a request against the Ministry of Finance to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo today, as he said, violating the Pristina Community budget, reports Online Economy.
After handing in the motion, ahead of the Constitutional Court object, Rama, along with the capital's deputy head, Rock Manaj, held a press conference.
“Sic you are aware, now nine months this minister has blocked the budget for the Pristina municipality. In our argument, this constitutes a serious violation of the Kosovo Constitution because the budget is violated, but the lives of citizens as well. This is a political blockade,” said Manaj.
Rama stressed that it is 35m euros, tools that he says belong legally to the capital.
The “Fordes, which legally belong to the capital, are now blocked by nine months. In various institutions this government has made blockades at different levels, from the city ring where 82m euros have been blocked, but for political issues this minister has hampered the process,” added Rama. /Periscopi/
