Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a meeting with young people involved in tourism ventures in the city of Saranda, has stopped at the situation on the south beaches, with particular emphasis on Ksamil.
He described this area as a “page violated”, noting problems related to management, density and prices set by private operators.
“is starting with violated beaches. This is the right word for Ksamil Beach, I'm getting it that it's one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and it can no longer be prey to the ignorants who see it as a land to be conquered and then to bring with tourists and visitors as if they could be slaves who can eat the tent's staff on their head,” - Rama says, Euronews reports. According to him, high prices for services that are not justified with quality, as well as lack of free space on the coast, are negatively affecting tourist experience and the country's image as a tourist destination.
“There is no longer reason for Ksamil's public beach to be a private beach, where density is related to stress, at prices that only hurt the image of Albanian tourists,” he added.
The prime minister stressed the need for revising the use of the coastline and for interventions aimed at restoring a balance between public interest and private activity. /Periscope/
