(9 months ago)Kosovo police have detained a person suspected of criminal acts of corruption and fraud in public procurement procedures, following an action conducted in co-operation with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren, Periscope follows. According to the police report, investigations have been led by the Financial Investigation Sector and have led to the development of [...] control.
According to the Police's announcement, investigations have been led by the Financial Investigation Sector and have led to the development of authorised control at several locations, on the 1509.2025. Electronic equipment and other material evidence allegedly linked to illegal activity have been seized during the operation.
Police reported that a firearm with ammunition has also been found at one of the locations, for which a special case has been launched and the respective unit has been engaged.
The suspect has been interviewed in the presence of the defence attorney, and with the prosecutor's decision the case has been detained for 48 hours.
Kosovo police stress that, in co-ordination with justice bodies, they will take all necessary legal actions until the case is fully bleached.
