A few hours after the event, publicist Flaka Surroi made an ironic Facebook post, writing:
“What life would have been without black jeeps and close protection...”
This status sparked the reaction of Princeton Sadriu, the husband of President Osmani, who retorted:
“And what would life have been without illegal villas in Brezovica?”
This replica was interpreted as a direct sting to Surroi, shifting the debate from security and spending on the protection of state institutions to the topics of construction of villas without permission in Brezovica.
