Pressed hearing against Sini and Vukasinovic, the accused's lawyer claims he refused the paperwork

The initial hearing has been postponed against Serbian List deputy head Slavko Simiqi, and Uros Vukasinovic, who are charged with urging protesters to attack Albanian journalists during tensions in Leposavic, on 16 June 2023, has been postponed.

The reason for the postponement came after complaints by the accused's lawyers, who claimed that one of the customers has not accepted the paperwork from the prosecutor at all, while the other has only partially accepted it.

The case prosecutor, Aytane Zoni, said the defendant's attorney has been reported several times over the phone to get the subject papers, but has not come to collect.

The prosecutor has sometimes called the lawyer over the phone so the subject papers can come to the prosecutor but the same one hasn't come to get, the same reason the prosecution doesn't know. Since the same one didn't take the subject papers, I brought them today to testify that the same ones are ready, and we have the same sender's sheet prepared where all the subject records and CDs are included,” she said.

On the other hand, the defendant's lawyer, Dejan Vasic, dismissed the prosecution's claims, stressing that he has never been contacted to obtain the paperwork and that they are not complete.

After hearing the parties, Judge Shqipe Sejdiu announced that due to the circumstances created, the initial today session is postponed.

For these reasons and circumstances, the court issues a decision to postpone today's initial session, this session is postponed on October 9th at 13:30,” she said.
