While the general population marked decline for both genders, natural addition remained positive, with 1,060 births more than women's deaths and only 148 for men.
According to INSTAT, the gender report to the east resulted in 108 boys per 100 girls, above the natural average of 105.
Of the 23.310 recorded births in 2024, 4,192 abortions, or 180 abortions, for every 1,000 births are recorded.
The most affected age group was 20,34, the most reproductive period of women. For teenagers, 18 years of age marked the highest level of abortion with 179 cases per 1,000 births.
In the academic year 2023-24, 28.193 students graduated, where 65.8 % were girls. In pre-university Education, women dominate education staff at more than 70, while in higher education they also lead with academic titles such as Professor and Doctor.
The favorite areas for girls are business, health and social sciences, while boys graduate mostly in engineering and technology.
In 2024 police identified 2,528 perpetrators, 6,3 % of the total authors. Of the 40 deliberately killed, 22.5 %s were motivated by family relationships.
Family violence remained a major problem, with 1,456 women injured, mainly in Tirana, Durres and Fier. Meanwhile, 1,447 minors were affected by various crimes, where 401 were girls and 1,046 boys. A total of 77 convicted women, mostly for drug-related crimes and murder, were registered in prisons.
Unlike men, about 25 percent of female inmates have higher education, and 22 percent share in professional courses. /Periscope/
