More than 50,000 spectators gathered to see military vehicles, rockets, fears and other weapons moving through Beijing, according to state broadcaster CCTV. China introduced its newest interccivilal ballistic missiles over the years in military parade, moving massive DF-61 weapons into mobile platforms, Periscope.
Name DF-61 was last seen in the 1970s, according to Germany's Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy.
Air defence lasers appeared, including a large laser that state television said would be assembled on combat ships. A ground version of the gun also appeared to spectators, reports CNN, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Two extra-sized underwater fears also debuted in the parade, with images showing them overshadowing nearby soldiers.
