What did the President say?

After meeting with the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, with Parliament Speaker Dimal Basha, said the legal team is considering the issue of the Parliament's binding.

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has been hosting the meeting today in its newly elected Kosovo Assembly Speaker, Mr. Dimal Basha. “Based on the Constitutional Court, Court of Constitutional Court and the Framework Act, the Constituent and Parliament hearings end only after the Speaker and deputy speakers of the Parliament have been elected. While the Serbian List took brief steps, handing out complaints to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, the issue of electing deputy leaders from the Serb community.

They reportedly expect the Constitution to react and take necessary measures.

Serbian List members filed a complaint with the Constitutional Court today for serious violation of the rights of the Serbian people at the Assembly hearings in Pristina. Constitutional and democratic principles have been severely violated, and the Serbian people are unable to exercise guaranteed rights. We expect the Constitutional Court to react urgently and take all necessary measures to protect the rule of law, as well as the rights of the Serbian people in line with legal acts in force”, it is said in their announcement.
