Osman recalls Ahmet Krasniqi: Getting his murder remains institutional duty

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has remembered Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi on the 27th anniversary of his assassination.

The presidency's announcement says that Colonel Krasniqi's legacy is alive in every step of statehood, and that the dawning of his assassination remains an institutional obligation.

“Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi, Kosovo's first defence minister, remains a symbol of courage, sacrifice and vision for a free Kosovo. He was unfaithfully killed, the victim of a miserable act aimed at halting his efforts at freedom. But, even though the colonel was killed, no dream of free Kosovo was killed. His legacy is alive in every step of our statehood, while the dawning of his murder remains a moral and institutional duty”, the announcement said. /Periscope/
