Orban is again involved with Christersson: Sweden is our friend, but you're not

Hungary's prime minister, Viktor Orban, has escalated tensions with Swedish counterpart Wolf Cristersson, declaring Sweden remains a friend of Hungary, but personally excluding Christersson from that status. In a recent proposal, Orban said: “Sweden is our friend, because we respect him as a state and a partner in the EU, but you, Wolf Krittersson, are not a friend of Hungary. ”
This statement comes after several clashes between them on migration issues, democracy and European integration, where Hungary and Sweden have opposing positions.
Christersson has sharply criticised Orban's policies, accusing him of violating democratic values and lack of solidarity in the European Union.
Orban, on the other hand, has replied by accusing Sweden of hypocrisy and failure to cooperate on some key issues, stressing:
“We want to have good relations with Sweden, but they cannot be based on personal relations with a leader who does not respect partnership. ”
This clash between the two leaders reflects continued tensions within the EU over the road to the union and approaches to political and social crises.
