The Italian Embassy in Kosovo has announced that they have welcomed 24 Italian carabinieri in Kosovo, “which, along with European partners, will help strengthen security before the upcoming local elections”.
“As part of EULEX's EUROGANDFOR, they are forming EULEX's Formed Reserve Police Unit (RFPU), working to support stability and build trust within communities. Italy remains committed to peace and security in Kosovo and throughout the Balkans. ”
Local elections in Kosovo will be held on 12 October.
