Obadiah for the Constitution of Kachanik: Great Resistance Act and Open Challenge to Conquest

On the 35th anniversary of the Constitution of Kachanic, LDK) chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has said this date marks one of the most marked days of new national history.

September 7, 1990, is one of the most marked days of our new national history. It is the day when Kosovo deputies, with courage and determination, announced the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the fundamental act of our citizenship, known eternally as the Constitution of Kacanik. In terms of Serbian repression, when violence and injustice were intended to erase any dream of freedom, the political elite of time, based on the largest democratic movement, the Democratic League of Kosovo established the foundations of the first institutions of the state of Kosovo. ”

He has said the Constitution of the Kachanic was only a legal act, but a major act of resistance and open challenge to the invasion.

He has mentioned President Ibrahim Rugova's statement that the “day of September 7th 1990 has entered Kosovo's newest history as the day of establishing the foundations of the state of Kosovo, which came after the July 2nd Declaration of Independence of the same year.

“Today, on this 35th anniversary, we humbly obey in front of the then deputies of the Kosovo Parliament, who courageously and with sacrifice made the historic decision on the Cacanic Constitution. We also honor the women and men who worked day and night to make the centuries-old dream of Albanians a reality for freedom and independence.
