NATO has established its <x0nd alert” in Baltic, after Copenhagen reported a intimidation in Denmark's airspace, a spokesman for the Western military alliance said.
Added measures include “several intelligence, surveillance and intelligence platforms and at least one antiaircraft frigate” in Russia's west region, Russia's spokesman said NATO, Martin O'Donell, during a media conference.
OʹDonell said NATO leadership “has been in constant contact with Danish leaders” over fears incidents, which are the latest in a series of violations of the alliance's member states.
Mystery shows of fears in Denmark and Norway since Monday have forced authorities to close several airports. Denmark has hinted that Russia may be involved after the fears.
Several NATO states have said Russian warplanes and fears have violated their air spaces in Europe in recent weeks, accusing Moscow of testing the alliance.
But on Thursday Moscow denied any suggestion that it was behind these incidents in fear. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned on September 27th NATO would risk facing a crucial “response” if it showed “whatever aggression against my state”. / REL/ Periscope.
