The hearing was opened by the head of the Municipal Council, Mrs. Maggie Fino, who stressed that the decision-making for Veliaj's dismissal is a step imposed by recent developments, referring to the situation created following his arrest several months ago.
“Today we are carrying out a political and moral obligation to ensure the normal functioning of the municipality”, Fino said during the opening word. /Periscopi/
