The Government Commission for Missing Persons has announced that at the Necca location of the Berets of Strellz, morto remains that potentially belong to war victims who still figure on the List of Missing Persons.
According to the announcement, information has been accepted by citizens and subsequently addressed to the Police Sector for Missing Persons under the War Crimes Investigation Directorate and the IML, with support from EULEX experts.
By order of the competent prosecutor, the morto remains were exhumed and sent to the IML for further examination and identification through DNA analysis”.
The Government Commission for Missing Persons remains committed to dawning every missing person's fate and continues close co-operation with local and international institutions. We urge citizens to share any possible information that helps in this process”, the announcement says.
In addition, the CECZ said that for any new development, the public will be informed immediately after the completion of the relevant procedures.
