Both are presenting documentation as part of a libel indictment against conservative influence Candace Owens, who claimed that Brigitte Macron was born male and later slipped into transition, reports the report.New York Post.
The Macron lawyer, Tom Clere, told the podcast “Feme Under Fire” of the BBC that there will be “expert evidence that will turn out to be scientific nature”.
The lawyer did not elaborate on what exactly it would be, beyond that, include photos of Brigitte, now 72, when she was pregnant with their children.
The powerful French couple is ready to demonstrate “in general and specifically” that the charges are false, Clar said decisively.
It's extremely disturbing to think that you should go and submit yourself, present this type of testing”, he said of the concern this caused to the first lady.
It's a process she'll have to undergo in a very public way. But she's willing to do it. She is firmly determined to do what she needs to clarify the” situation, he said.
Owens has repeatedly stated, without evidence, that Brigitte Macron, 72, was born male, going so far as to say in her podst earlier this year that “would put my entire professional career at risk for all these” points.
The Macrons filed a lawsuit against Owens in Delaware in July, claiming that Owens “highlighted all reliable evidence that refutes its claim in favour of the platform of the renowned conspiracy theories and proven slanderers”.
Owens ' claims are similar to those previously made in France by two women Brigitte Macron indicted in 2021. This case was originally decided in favour of the first French lady, but has been dropped in appeals. It has now taken the case to France's highest appeal court.
Brigitte Macron was 39 years old when he became the teacher of the future French leader when he was 15, 1993. The couple were married in 2007.
