Macron stressed that it is expected to restore sanctions because the latest round of talks with Tehran, aimed at preventing them, was considered unserious.
Britain, France and Germany, the so-called E3 group, launched a 30-day process of restoring UN sanctions in late August.
They imposed conditions on Tehran, which it had to meet during September, in order to postpone the activism of “medocanism for automatic return” of UN sanctions.
To delay the return of sanctions for six months, in order to allow serious talks, Iran was conditioned to again allow access to UN nuclear inspectors at Tehran's nuclear facilities, which would also account for Iran's heavily enriched uranium reserves, as well as with involvement in talks with the US.
Asked in an interview on Israel's Channel 12 whether the return of sanctions was a closed issue, Macro replied: “Y. I think so, because the latest news from Iran is not serious”. /Periscopi/
