Lawyer Musa: I expect the release of former KLA leaders to be condemned without evidence of such grave acts

Lawyer Skender Musa has spoken of the judicial process at The Hague, where former KLA leaders are being tried. He said he expects the process to be completed in November or a little later, and that significant are witnesses to the defence of former President Thaci, since they are reliable and eminent people.
“Now they themselves showed an administrative deadline when they intend to conduct the process according to the tribunal in November. I expect the trial to be completed within this month or a little later. Many witnesses of Mr. Defense are important. Thaci, the former president of Kosovo, is a people primer, are people with credibility and maximum credibility in the process. I believe that through listening to these witnesses, it will be achieved to dismiss all claims by the special prosecution and to bring down the witness claims of this prosecutor because it is not the same to be heard by former senior officials of the NAOT, the US and the EU and compare their testimony to people we know in Kosovo”, he said.
According to Musa, the court should consider their testimony, which is more objective than the witnesses who have been opposed.
So even when evidence is analysed, the court should undoubtedly take into consideration those who have more knowledge, who are more objective than those who allegedly may be paid, may be motivated or may even be persons who have not been here in Kosovo at the time of war”, the lawyer for Blic newspaper noted.
He strongly believes that former KLA leaders will be released as innocent, while he says that otherwise it would be terrible for them to be punished for such serious acts without evidence.
“I strongly believe that after listening to these witnesses and throughout the entire defence process it has been very effective, the leaders of the KLA but their lawyers, I undoubtedly expect them to be released, if they are able to ensure fair judicial process, because there has been no strong evidence that could link one of the four KLA leaders now being tried, by an individual case or even by an ordinance, as they claim, through institutional grace that they have been able to prevent or have ordered to carry out any criminal act. There has been no convincing evidence of what I'm talking about that they were public, which we've been forward to, there has been no convincing evidence to prove any doubt based on the fact that these people committed war crimes or actions against international rights, so I expect their release, otherwise it would be terrible for both Kosovo justice and international justice to punish people without evidence for such serious acts”, has declared attorney Skender Musa. /Periscope/
