“Better late than ever” The Palestine welcomes Britain's decision of recognition

The Foreign Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Varsen Agabekian, has indicated that Britain is preparing for a bold <x0-step at a very difficult time” with official recognition of Palestine. She believes that this decision, expected to be announced in the coming days, will inspire other states to follow [...]
Aghabekian said the British move was “better late than ever” and stressed:
“Britine, with its weight, can influence other countries to move forward and get to know it, because that's the right thing to do”.
It also expressed outrage at the White House for its “steadfast support” for Israel, stressing that recognition of Palestine should not be seen as a reward for terrorism, but as a step to justice, Skynews reports.
The minister said that non-recognition to Palestine could even be perceived as “rewards for extremists” and that if you wait until Israel is ready for negotiations, she believes this could never happen.
Currently, Palestine has been recognised by about three quarters of the United Nations countries and includes the West Coast, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
