The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has said the constitution has dragged on for more than four months due to complaints by former parties at the Constitutional Court, the Online Economy reports.
He said the AAK, PDK and LDK have made successive complaints at the Constitutional Court because, according to him, these parties used the tribunal to block the process.
Kurti charged that most Constitutional judges were appointed in PAN's time, and that has influenced decisions not to be made over time
Very absurd, even very harmful. From the beginning to the election of Dimal Basha chairman, of four and a half months, from mid-April to the end of August, there are delays by the Constitutional Court. A month and a half have been late to handle the AAK complaint, then the PDK and the LDK.
So two thirds of our time has been taken by the Constitutional Court. The immediate opposition there, do you know why? Because 5 out of its 7 judges were elected in 2018, in the time of PAN and Serbian List. We won the elections three times, they're back at the court, almost still in the year 2018”, he said.. /Periscopi/
