Kurt meets with Congresswoman Seith at Kosovo consulate offices in New York

“Congressist Self is a vocal supporter of the Republic of Kosovo. Together they discussed bilateral relations and co-operation between Kosovo and the United States of America, especially in the area of defence and security, and the active role and continued contribution of the Albanian diaspora to the United States”, the office says.

Kurti, according to the announcement, has discussed Self for investments in the establishment of Kosovo's Army capacities, accession decisions and citizens of third countries leaving the US, and the removal of customs duties on American products.

At the meeting, it has also been discussed the role and importance of the Albanian diaspora in the US in strengthening ties between the two states.

Kurti has invited Selfin to visit Kosovo and has thanked her for supporting Kosovo and its NATO membership.

Kurti has also expressed Kosovo's readiness for closer co-operation with the US in promoting the two countries' common values and interests.

Prime Minister Kurti is staying in New York for meetings under the 80th Summit Week of the United Nations General Assembly. /Periscope/
