Kuci's phone undergoes forensic analysis, data delivery ordered

Kosovo Specialised Chambers Trial (DSK), Marjorie Masselot, has approved the Specialised Prosecutor's request to seek help from the Foreign Institute (EFI), with the goal of creating a copy of the forensic image and the “Celette” phone report selected by Hajredin Kuci in March 2024. Wordphone [...]
The phone in question is still under EFI protection since the sequencing, while the material previously released has been handed over to the parties in the procedure.
However, according to the prosecution, because they do not physically possess the equipment, it is necessary to create forensic copies to ensure full and equal access to protection, the news writes.
The move, according to the Prosecutor, is in line with DSK's rule of regulation 1023, which predicts that each accused has the right to receive forensic copies of seized equipment. The request is also supported by the protection of Kuci, who has stressed the importance of this material in preparing protection.
In her decision, Judge Masseolot orders the EFI within three weeks of accepting the request to prepare and broadcast through the Office of the Register the copy of the forensic image and the “Celbite” report to the protection of Kuci.
It has clarified that any uncertainty should be addressed only to the registry, which is tasked to immediately announce the court in case of any problems during the process.
Also, EFI must submit a detailed report within 14 days after the completion of the procedure, in which to clarify the way material is created, safeguard clauses during transmission and any technical difficulties encountered.
In its device, the judge also orders Kuci's protection that by September 19th 2025 hand over a revised public version of its relevant document or to request its re-legulation as public.
