The Kryeziu made for five money the opposition parties: You're shrinking in front of Albin Kurti

KDI's Ismet Kryziu has sharply criticised opposition parties for the failure of sufficient opposition to political situations, and in particular to the largest party in the country, the Vetevendosje Movement. Kryeziu said that for years, the opposition has been rarely or almost never mobilised to exert real pressure on the VV as the ruling party in order to demand accountability.
He adds that in practice, almost all opposition activity has been reduced to complaints and in cases sent to the Constitutional Court.

Full response:
It has already been a year since August 2024, when the president of Kosovo announced the parliamentary elections. Since then, political parties have been involved in continuous election activities and campaigning, without having been able to establish institutions and fulfill the obligations stemming from the elections.
For years, the opposition has been rarely or almost never mobilised to exert real pressure on the VV as the ruling party in order to seek accountability. In practice, almost all opposition activity has been reduced to complaints and in cases sent to the Constitutional Court. This contraction of the opposition role in a largely judicial battle has stripped it of the political and mobilizing dimension expected by a functional opposition.
Moreover, during the past year, opposition parties have become involved and have become part of generating political and institutional crises, thus becoming co-aware of the VV's blocking the functioning of institutions. The current political and institutional stalemate is not only the responsibility of a political subject, but of all parliamentary subjects, which, with their voting, non-votes or barricadements, have helped the largest party to implement policy blocking the formation of the Assembly and Government.
Even today, opposition parties are still not holding a political battle with the largest party.
