Krasniqi: Kurti and Osmani attack media only to preserve power

Albert Krasniqi says that “Fight” synchronized by President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti against the media and the judiciary is meant to preserve the power and privileges it offers.

The civil society member said today that the two institutional leaders want to capture and the State Prosecutor in order to use it as a means of pressure on critical journalists.

“The most obvious is being shown the fact that Osmani synchronized attacks- Sadriut and Kurti towards the judiciary and the media do not deal with any fight against ties with Serbia, but are only aiming to preserve the power and privileges it offers”, Krasniqi said in a writing on the social Facebook network on Friday.

For this reason, the composition of the Constitutional Court is kept incomplete because power needs figures that will legitimise anti-unconstitutional decisions. In the same line, the prosecutor's election has been blocked, as someone willing to use prosecution as a means of pressure, even to critical journalists”, he said.

The more power is threatened, the more aggressive and visible these “maneuvers will become, Krasniqi said.
