This means that nearly 98 percent of the population know reading.
In 2011, according to statistics, the percentage of illiterates in the population was 3.85%, while in 2024 this percentage decreased to 2.27%.
However, according to the REL, this percentage is still slightly higher than in most Western Balkan countries.
