Kosovo's number of divorces is markedly increased: 953 cases in just seven months

The number of couples ending their marriage in Kosovo is increasing significantly. In the January 2025 period alone, 953 divorce cases have been recorded, according to official data from the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK).
The data shows that the highest number of divorces was registered in July, with 177 cases, followed by February 141 cases and April 140 cases.
And in the following months, the figures are similar to the following: January 124 cases, February 141, March 123, April 140, May-13, June 135, July 177, Telegrafi reports, the Periscope broadcast.

Compared to June, when there were 135 cases, the month July marked 177 cases of 31% increase in the number of divorces.
The municipality with mostly divorce cases in July was Prizren, with 22 cases, ranking top of the list for this month. /Periscopi
