Kosovo authorities arrested the 33-year-old defendant (also known online as @blackdb) on December 14th 2024. He was extradited to the United States on 9 May 2025 and was detained after his appearance in court in Tampa on 12 May.
Masurica was the main manager of the online criminal market Blac KDB.cc, which has been operating for nearly seven years, between 2018 and 2025, according to court documents.
The US Department of Justice states that the market offered for sale compromised server accounts and credentials, stolen credit card information and identifiable personal information (PII) belonging to victims worldwide, with a particular focus on individuals from the United States.
This sensitive information was used by cybercriminals who bought it on the Blac market. KDB for various illegal activities, including credit card fraud, tax fraud and identity theft.
Masurica was charged with five counts of fraudulent use of unauthorised access devices and one count of plotting to commit fraud with access equipment. If convicted on all charges, market manager Blac The kDB could face a maximum sentence of 55 years in federal prison. /Periscopi
