According to the official communiqué, during the search of a passenger coming from an international line, customs officials discovered several hidden phones in his body, allegedly destined for the black market. Smart phones were also found in another traveler's attempt to smuggle.
In the same case, 36,500 undeclared euros have been discovered during luggage control, out of which 9,000 euros have been confiscated, in line with the law regulating the circulation of monetary means at the border.
Customs has indicated that the case has been referred to for further investigation into the Kosovo Customs Investigation Directorate to determine legal responsibilities and other procedures.
The institution stressed that it remains committed to preventing smuggling, money laundering and illegal activities that harm the country's economy and security. /Periscope/
