A Kosovo looks to the Constitution, the latter tell of Periscope when the act comes out

Weeks ago, the Constitutional Court has imposed an early move through which it has prevented MPs from taking action, as well as preventing the development of any procedure for forming Kosovo's new government. That move was imposed after nine Serbian List deputies addressed the Constitutional concerning the vote for the Serbian deputy chairman in the Kosovo Assembly, Periscopi writes.

Vetevendosje: The Constitution took sides

The second largest party in the country after the LVV, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, said chairman Basha declared the Kosovo Assembly's constitutionalisation complete without the total implementation of Article 67 of the Kosovo Constitution.

“For the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Assembly is still not constitutionalised because its headship in full constitutional composition has not been selected,” said the PDK in a Facebook communiqué.

She said that under these circumstances, she considers the pointless “” the invitation for meeting the head of the House that has not been constitutionalised and that she does not participate in “meetings that serve only party agendas, not the interest of the state”.

The Democratic League of Kosovo, the third largest party in the Assembly, also concluded that the Assembly has not yet been constitutionalised.

“The constitution of the Republic, the regulation of the Assembly and the respective judicial judgments of the Constitutional Court are clear and unequivocal in terms of procedures and conditions of its constitutional dedication. Any attempt to interpret otherwise or bypass these fundamental provisions constitutes violations of constitutional order and violation of the democratic principles on which our state is based”, a response of LDK on Facebook said.
