Communications accidents continue to remain one of the biggest challenges for road safety in Kosovo.
According to data from Kosovo Police during the seven January-July months of this year, 51 fatal accidents were caused, compared to 48 in 2024.
But according to statistics 58 people have lost their lives towards 52 in the same period last year.
Similarly, an increase in the number of tickets declared by Kosovo police has been observed. In 2025, 448,661 tickets were pronounced, compared to 411,337 in the same period last year, the IndexOnline reported.
The total accident for January 2025 has reached the figure of 13,235, from 12,507 in 2024.
These alarming figures underscore the need for greater awareness by all participants in traffic.
