Ferizaj is entering a new phase of improving energy infrastructure. Currently, in the fastest growing city of the population and economics in Kosovo, a major project converting the distribution network from 10kV to 20 kV is under way. The project includes a total of eight exits, thus doubling the power supply capacity for thousands of citizens and businesses in the area.
This strategic investment aims to eliminate overloads on the grid, boost supply security and provide much better quality services to consumers. With the project completed, Ferizaj will have a modern and prepared network for increased consumer demand, creating better conditions for the city's economic and social development.
The project is scheduled to be completed within this year, giving Ferizaj an advantage similar to what has already been accomplished in Pristina, where this process has brought tangible results in improving the quality of service.
Under this transformation, the Ferizaj 2 substation has already established new provisions adapted to 20kV capacity. This step is of particular importance, since it guarantees that the network will function steadily and without letup even in high loads conditions.
This investment is part of a long-term strategy for modernising the distribution network throughout Kosovo. Through it, not only does it ensure more stable and efficient supply but also create preconditions for the integration of new technologies and sustainable energy sources.
With this step, Ferizaj is joining cities that are benefiting from a modern energy infrastructure, ensuring better quality service and better prospects for the future.
