The diaspora capital, which was supposed to be the engine of the economy, is going to empty dwellings rather than production, exports or job creation. This trend risks financial shock and undermines the long - term welfare of citizens.
“We are building empty cities, with untapped dwellings, as youth departs from” every day, the UN response is highlighted.
The GDP calls for urgent steps for transparent legalisation of construction, regulation and orientation of diaspora capital towards producing and sustainable economic development. This alone creates new jobs, strengthens exports, and ensures a more stable future for the country.
