KB calls to the Pristina municipality and the Youth Palace: Local businesses going bankrupt

The Kosovo Business Alliance (AKB) has reacted sharply to the Pristina Community's decision and Youth Palace to close business “V I SARIPK VVD”, naming it arbitrary, illegal and with serious consequences to the local economy. The UN response reportedly on September 1st, without court ruling [...]
The UN response reportedly on September 1st, without court ruling and contrary to legal principles, has closed the 20-year-old company, which has been a regular contributor to paying rent and taxes at the Kosovo Tax Administration.
From that decision, according to the UN, 25 workers have been laid off and the company has been usurped over 200 thousand euros, unable to perform normal. Also, bankruptcy of the commercial brand “Life Style” -- known on the Kosovo market -- is endangered, Periscopi conveys.
“The UN considers this act a flagrant violation of the law, property rights and business freedom, witnessing an unacceptable institutional arrogance and direct damage to the country's economy”, it said in response.
The GDP requires that the lock be removed immediately and return business to locals where it has been exercising activity for two decades, while central institutions react to this precedent, where businesses close without judicial decision and without respect for contracts.
“The GDP will use all legal and democratic means to protect our businesses from such injustices, preventing arbitrary decisions from destroying the defeat and work of our citizens”, the response ends. /Periscope/
