Through a post in his official profile on the social Facebook network, Kamberi stressed that the collective memory of Albanians is still burdened by painful experiences during the time of the Yugoslav People's Army (APJ), where many young Albanians were treated discriminated with discrimination and suffered tragedy.
For this, Kamberi announced that he has submitted to parliamentary procedure a proposal for establishing a special commission that will investigate the deaths of 135 Albanian soldiers in the JJ ranks during the years 50. Many of these cases, as he wrote, registered as “suicide” or “axidente”, according to families, were suspicious, as troops often bore signs of violence.
The lack of independent investigations has strengthened the conviction that it has to do with ethnic and political motives. It is time for the Assembly to take responsibility and establish a special Commission, which would include representatives of the Albanian community and civil society”, Kamberi wrote.
According to him, justice for victims is the cornerstone of reconciliation and a better future for all citizens.
