Jasharaj: There are parents who have not yet received the money for school tools

Nearly a month after the start of the new school year, 202526, a considerable number of parents have yet to accept financial means for buying textbooks, while many students continue to face a lack of books. This situation, according to the United Education, Science and Culture Union (SBASHK), is seriously damaging the normal course of the education process and creating inequality in the educational system.
The SBASK chairman, Nundman Jashari, says that the union had reacted two years ago to the new form of book sharing and repurchasing procedure, but unfortunately, the situation has become even more complicated.
“As SBASK, we have reacted and criticised this new form of text distribution and reimbursement since two years ago. This approach has become much more complicated and difficult than before”, Jashari said in a pronouncement for IndexOnline, broadcasts Periscope.
Yasar is concerned about the impact that the lack of texts has had on the learning process and on the sense of equality among students in schools.
There are some parents who haven't taken school tools yet, and I believe there are many cases where students still don't have textbooks. Lack of textbooks places teachers in a difficult position, who do not know whether to begin explaining new units. Those students can't make it all over the school year. This is not managed correctly”, he added.
According to Jashar, this is the third consecutive year the situation repeats, while also criticising the Ministry of Education for lack of reflection and lack of concrete action.
We have believed that the Ministry of Education and Mrs. Nagavci would reflect, but unfortunately, nothing has been done this school year. This is the third error, a mistake that cannot be forgiven because it is also creating sensitive situations where children are not feeling equal. We hope that in the coming years the school will have a different approach, a clearer agreement with the publishers, so that we can have the books in time and with new content”, he concluded.
According to the union, a more co-ordinated approach with publishing homes and educational institutions themselves would ensure that books are accessible to every student on time and equally.
