Former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga has met former US President Barack Obama.
We the summit margins, I had the honour of meeting President Barack Obama, who I thanked for the extraordinary support he gave Kosovo during my term, as well as for the continued commitment of the United States to our country. I asked President Obama for further commitment to strengthening relations between the US and Kosovo, which have been challenged by the suspension of strategic dialogue recently. I also received Mr Obama's help and support in consolidating our citizenship in the international arena”, Jahjaga said.
She stressed that Kosovo has never had and will never have greater allies than the United States of America and the American people.
Thanks to this partnership, we today enjoy freedom, independence, international recognition and membership in many world organizations. For this we remain eternally grateful”, she added./Periscopi/
