Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tayan has stated that the European integration process cannot be considered complete without “reunification” of the Western Balkan region with the European family.

These comments, Taani made under the UN General Assembly's 80th Summit Week. He organised and headed a new meeting of the Western Balkan foreign ministers and the “Ministers of the Western Balkans”.
Ministers and representatives from Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Austria, Czechia, Croatia, Greece, Slovakia and Slovenia participated in this format.
