White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavet has just read a statement from President Trump about Israel's attack on Doha, the BBC reported.
There it is:
This morning, the Trump administration was announced by the United States military that while Israel was attacking Hamas, who was unfortunately in a part of Doha, Qatar's capital, the unilateral bombing within Qatar, a sovereign nation and close ally of the working United States, and is courageously taking risks with us to mediate peace, does not advance the intentions of Israel or America.
However, the elimination of Hamas, who has benefited from the misery of those living in Gaza, is a worthy purpose. President Trump immediately instructed special envoy Witkoff to inform the Catharians of the imminent attack, which he did. The president sees Qatar as a strong ally and friend of the United States and feels very bad about the location of this attack.
President Trump wants all hostages in Gaza and bodies of the dead released in this war to end now. President Trump also spoke with Prime Minister Netanyyahu after the attack. The prime minister told President Trump that he wants to make peace and quickly.
President Trump believes this unfortunate incident Can serves as an opportunity for peace. The president also spoke with Emir and Qatar's prime minister and thanked them for their support and friendship with our country. He assured them that this will not happen again on their land.
