At this meeting, Ismaili said gender equality has always been his priority and that this has been witnessed in the past during the time of co-government in Pristina, when of six directors, three have been women and three men. He also recalled that during his term as minister of health, 60% of his cabinet were women.
“Even my government in the Pristina municipality will consist of 50% women and 50% men. This should be viewed, not as exception, but as the norm. No one better than women can recognise their needs, and no one better than them can offer solutions,” said Ismaili.
