Pristina chairmanial candidate Uran Ismaili has launched a new set of meetings called “Pa Filter”, where he talks openly with citizens and professionals about the capital's most important issues. At the first meeting, he joined Tefik Bektesh, former director of the Cardiodrogy Clinic.
Ismaili said that Pristina citizens have been discriminated against for more than 25 years by the lack of a dedicated hospital for them, stressing that this is meaningless injustice that must end. “I have to make Pristina Hospital a reality,” he said, recalling that the detailed plan has been prepared since he was minister of health, but was never put into effect by later governments.
For his part, Tefik Bektesh said the construction of the Pristina Hospital would be historic achievement for the capital's citizens, naming it a step that will remain in memory. He also thanked Ismaili for the co-operation offered during the time he headed the Ministry of Health and for the willingness to support health professionals in reforms undertaken at the time.
Ismaili added that citizens of the capital deserve higher-level health services and that Pristina Hospital will be one of the priorities of its governance.
