Pristina Mayor Uran Ismaili has shared an emotional video today, where for the first time he is talking about his personal life, family and political travel.
In this emotional presentation, Ismaili turns back to childhood in the Sun Coast, years of Serbian occupation, home-school schooling and difficult moments that shaped his character. I lost my mother at the age of 14, and she was the family pillar. The loss of it was very difficult, but it strengthened my relationship with my father, who taught me that in life it has to work hard, to get my own way, he confessed.
Ismail also dwells on his family life that created him, pointing to his encounter with Arizonan, who calls the partner with whom he built everything, from his family and Omer and Uma children, to his political journey. To his wife he said that she is not only the love of his life but also his partner in every sphere. He also remembers studies at Harvard, which gave him the message he keeps as a guide: politics is to serve the country and people.
In the video, an important place is the period when he was minister of health, when he says that reforms were made that saved lives and saved millions of euros of state and citizens. “I removed waiting lists for seasons and stopped corruption with drugs,” recalls, adding that not only during the exercise of this function, but has always believed in expertise and not in party division.
At the end of the confession, Ismaili returns to the 2021 race and his popular call “come alive, Pristina”, stressing that citizens' support has given him the strength to continue this time. I don't give up. Pristina is one for me, here I live and here I've always been. It's time for Pristina citizen. Time for a normal life. Today is the time for Pristina,” says Ismaili on video.
